Families Together offers a menu of enrichment classes for current FTCNS students, alumni (ages 5-6), and the broader community. Topics will include: Science (STEM), Visual Arts, Nature, and Performing Arts. Three terms of varying lengths – Fall, Winter, Spring – will be offered. Classes will be taught by current FTCNS staff and outside content experts.
Winter 2025 – Morning
Evergreens Nature Play
Fridays, 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. for 8 weeks from January 10 to March 7
Open to 2024-2025 enrolled FTCNS students, ages 3 to 5. Evergreens students will need to be confident in using the bathroom independently.
Our winter Evergreens Nature Play class will meet for eight classes on Friday mornings from 1/10/25 to 3/7/25. Evergreens Nature Play will explore the natural wonders of winter through storytelling and hands-on discovery. Each class will be centered around a story that we’ll explore through dramatic play and creative projects. Weather permitting, we’ll head outdoors to discover the beauty of nature in winter. Evergreens Nature Play will be taught by Willows teachers Kirsten Ruckdeschel and Jill Victorine.
Fee: $400 per session ($50 per class). No refunds will be issued for missed classes. For families with a 2023 Adjusted Gross Income of less than $45,000, a limited number of 50% financial aid waivers are available.

Winter 2025 – Afternoon
Yoga Tales
Mondays, 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 6 weeks from January 13 to March 3 (no class January 20 & February 17)
Open to current and alumni FTCNS students as well as the broader community, ages 3 to 6.
This class has it all – Movement, mindfulness, stories, and play! We’ll begin each class with kid-friendly yoga moves that spark conversation and storytelling. We’ll discover, create, and act out stories from different cultural traditions. And, of course, we’ll play! Yoga Tales will be taught by Willows teacher Jill Victorine and former Lunch Bunch teacher Molly Roudebush.
Children must be 3 years old by 9/1/24 to participate in Yoga Tales.

Winter Nature Lab
Thursdays, 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 6 weeks from January 16 to February 20
Open to current and alumni FTCNS students as well as the broader community, ages 3 1/2 to 6.
This science-centric class will focus on learning how to care for our Earth. We’ll explore winter weather phenomena and experiment with science materials and tools. Each class will explore a new science topic and include open-ended play, group projects, experiments, and storytelling. This class is similar to our Climate Explorers class but with new activities and topics. Winter Nature Lab will be taught by FTCNS Director Ann Gadzikowski and Willows teacher Kirsten Ruckdeschel.
