Spring 2025 – Morning
Sprouts Nature Play
Fridays, 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. for 10 weeks from March 14 to May 23
Open to 2024-2025 enrolled FTCNS students, ages 3 (by 9/1/24) to 5. Sprouts students need to be confident in using the bathroom independently.
We will be celebrating Spring with outdoor adventures in our Friday morning nature play class with teachers Jill Victorine and Kirsten Ruckdeschel. Outdoor nature play benefits children in so many important ways. Children exercise their bodies, breathe fresh air, engage in fun social interactions, explore nature and science, and learn to care for our environment.
Activities include joyous open-ended play in the great outdoors as well as nature projects such as caring for our community garden, journaling and sketching, creating and acting out stories, and taking sensory walks. And plan on lots of messy play as we bake mud pies and other pretend concoctions. Class will begin most days across the street at the Senn Park playground. Some classes will take place at other green spaces around the neighborhood.
Fee: $500 per session ($50 per class). For families with a 2023 Adjusted Gross Income of less than $45,000, a limited number of 50% financial aid waivers are available.
