Lunch Bunch Extends the School Day

Lunch Bunch, our popular mid-day program, runs Monday through Thursday during the school year from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students bring a nut-free lunch and water bottle from home. In addition to eating a lunch from home, the program includes time for quiet games and puzzles, arts and crafts, active play in the gym, and rotating play experiences. Registration in a core class (Junipers, Willows or Oaks) is required to enroll in Lunch Bunch.

Getting to Lunch Bunch

  • Drop off for afternoon students is at 11 a.m. and Lunch Bunch teachers take them to their afternoon class.
  • Lunch Bunch staff pick up morning students from their classes and bring them to Lunch Bunch. Morning students are picked up at 1 p.m.
  • All Lunch Bunch students (even if they start at 11:30 a.m.) will be able to eat lunch and participate in the enrichment experience.

2026-2027 Cost

  • Although some students participate in Lunch Bunch for 2 hours and others for 1.5 hours, to avoid a complicated administrative process, we offer one price of $850 per day of the week.
  • Enrollment in Lunch Bunch is for the whole school year.

Is My Child Ready?

Children must be at least 3 years old to participate in Lunch Bunch. Additionally, children must be able to:

  • Wash hands (mostly) independently
  • Use the toilet (mostly) independently
  • Sit at the table and eat their own lunch (with reminders)
  • Begin learning how to clean up their own lunch
  • Transition with the group from one space to another (up and down the stairs)
  • Stay in the designated area (not wander or run away)
  • Play safely (without danger of hurting themselves or others)
