Families Together Cooperative Nursery School

Thursdays - 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 6 weeks January 16 to February 20

Open to current and alumni FTCNS students as well as the broader community, ages 3 1/2 to 6.

This science-centric class will focus on learning how to care for our Earth. We’ll explore winter weather phenomena and experiment with science materials and tools. Each class will explore a new science topic and include open-ended play, group projects, experiments, and storytelling. This class is similar to our Climate Explorers class but with new activities and topics.

Many FTCNS parents choose our school for its supportive community, and we’re excited to introduce our new parent group, “Parents Together.” This group aims to offer support for parents navigating life’s challenges. We invite all parents and caretakers to join us virtually for a facilitated discussion. Zoom info will be shared closer to the date.

Join us for our next Virtual Parent Support Circle on Thursday, February 20th at 7:30pm. This session will explore identity and how parenthood shapes who we are. Together, we’ll reflect, share, and support one another through meaningful discussion. 

Here are some questions we’ll explore:

1. How has becoming a parent influenced your sense of identity?

2. In what ways do you balance your personal identity with your role as a parent?

3. Have you ever felt like you lost a part of yourself in parenthood? How do you reconnect?

4. What aspects of your identity do you want your child to see and understand about you?

Mondays - 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 6 weeks January 13 to March 3 (no class January 20 & February 17)

Open to current and alumni FTCNS students as well as the broader community, ages 3 to 6.

This class has it all – Movement, mindfulness, stories, and play! We’ll begin each class with kid-friendly yoga moves that spark conversation and storytelling. We’ll discover, create, and act out stories from different cultural traditions. And, of course, we’ll play!

Please save the date (and the babysitter) for this mandatory meeting. At least one parent from each family is required to attend. We will have refreshments, social time and lots of great info on play!
