Families Together parent and chocolatier Katherine Duncan is offering a sweet giveback just in time for Mother's Day at her store, Katherine Anne Confections!

All day on Saturday, May 3, 20% of sales will go to Families Together when you mention FTCNS. Valid at either Chicago store, 3653 W. Irving Park Road (8 am-7 pm) or 2745 W. Armitage Avenue (10 am-7 pm). Katherine Anne Confections is also participating in the Irving Park neighborhood Mother’s Day Hop from 12-4 pm that day. Check out local businesses, buy some chocolates, and support FTCNS at the same time! Pick up a map at the store, and ride the free trolley, bike, walk, or drive around the neighborhood to see what Irving Park has to offer.

About Katherine Anne Confections
In the fall of 2006, Katherine Anne Confections launched in 2006 and in 2012 Katherine opened her cafe in Logan Square. In 2023, she expanded to the Irving Park neighborhood with a larger facility and espresso bar. The company offers wholesale, corporate gifts, chocolate and wine pairings, truffle-making classes, s’mores toastings and hot chocolate bar activations, and custom designed sweets. Katherine Anne Confections works with local farmers for their Jersey cream, Midwest fruits, honey, and seasonal ingredients.

Experience one of the reasons Families Together is such a great place to learn and grow  – messy sensory play!  You and your child are invited to make some beautiful messes with playdough, paint, glue, water, and more. Learn about the benefits of sensory play and how our play-based, emergent curriculum supports children’s development starting at age 2 ½. 

Meet Families Together teachers and director Ann Gadzikowski (author of Creating a Beautiful Mess: Ten Essential Play Experiences for a Joyous Childhood). Join us for snacks, parenting resources, and fun give-aways! This event is free of charge.

Messy Morning PlayTime will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9 to 10 am for children ages 2-3 (age 2 by 3/1/25) and their adult caregiver(s).

GO DOG GO! • VE PERRO ¡VE! is a world premiere bilingual musical. Come along with these delightful dogs as they drive, swim, play baseball and make their way to the big dog party — all in a lively blend of English and Spanish. Like a pop-up book that comes to life, GO DOG GO! • VE PERRO ¡VE! is a heart-warming spectacle of music, color, language and delight, appealing to all ages.
